After 25+ years of service, the last sole attack aircraft, A-6 Intruder was retired from carrier duty at the conclusion of the 1996 cruise of CVW-17 aboard the USS Enterprise, CVN-65.

VF-103 (Jolly Rogers) F-14B; VA-75 A-6E; VFA-81 F/A-18C; VFA-83 F/A-18C; VAQ-132 EA-6B; VAW-125 E-2C; VS-30 S-3B, VQ-6 ES-6A; and HS-15 SH-60.
